Cheryl Francaviglia began her dance training at Standing Ovation School of Dance, winning many awards and scholarships at competitions and conventions. She graduated from Rowan University with a BFA in Education and Child Drama, as well as a Dance Concentration. While at Rowan, she performed for Rowan’s Dance Company under Paule Turner and was Captain of the RU Dance Team. In 2009, she discovered Koresh Dance Company in Philadelphia and has been training there ever since, taking weekly advanced classes with Roni Koresh and Melissa Rector. While training at Koresh, performing for various artist showcases, and choreographing competition dances, Cheryl also became a 1st grade teacher in Gloucester Township. In 2015, she was hired to teach at Koresh School of Dance and was asked to dance for Melissa Rector’s Dance Company. Cheryl continues to rehearse and perform in Melissa Rector’s shows produced by Koresh in collaboration with Jim Bunting. Cheryl appreciates having the opportunity to continue her professional dance experience while having a full-time teaching job. She has a huge passion for dance and is driven to continue dancing for as long as possible. Cheryl is very excited to be joining the Dance Class staff!
